Neil Jarvis writes: On Monday 28 January 2019, Thailand deposited its Instrument of Ratification with WIPO (the World Intellectual Property Organisation) in Geneva. Thailand thereby became the 77th country to join the Marrakesh Treaty.
This is fabulous news and many congratulations are due to the Thai Association of the Blind and many other organisations in the print disability community. A particular mention should go to our friends and colleagues at Electronic Information For Libraries: EIFL, who have worked tirelessly to support print disabled people in this campaign. And a special note of congratulations to our own Dr. Apple Nantanoot Suwannawut, who has herself played a major role in the Marrakesh campaign, both in Thailand and throughout the region.
